This full-time position is designed for a highly motivated and dedicated professional to play a pivotal role in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Peshawar. The successful candidate will provide expert pulmonary and critical care management for seriously ill cancer patients admitted to the hospital. This role involves working closely within multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Additionally, the individual will have significant teaching responsibilities, including training residents in internal medicine, specialty fellows in pulmonary medicine, and respiratory therapists. Collaboration with surgeons, physicians from other specialties, and allied health staff is essential to deliver integrated care.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver expert pulmonary and critical care services for cancer patients in a hospital setting.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide teaching and training to internal medicine residents, pulmonary medicine fellows, and respiratory therapists.
- Liaise closely with surgeons, physicians from other specialties, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Participate actively in clinical decision-making and contribute to the development of care protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under pressure while managing complex clinical situations.

Required Qualifications

- American Board certification in Internal Medicine, complemented by a post-residency fellowship in Pulmonology or Critical Care.
- MRCP (UK) qualification with a minimum of three years of post-membership experience in respiratory medicine and intensive care medicine.
- Full registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
- Strong computer literacy and excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage challenging clinical environments.
