Content Removal Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Content Removal Specialist to join our team, helping individuals and businesses manage damaging, outdated, or unlawful online content. This role involves identifying problematic content, determining the appropriate legal or policy grounds for removal, and successfully facilitating its removal, correction, or de-indexing. Positioned at the intersection of legal, privacy, and negotiation functions, this role closely aligns with compliance specialists or paralegals rather than marketing professionals.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate news articles, blogs, forums, and search engine results to determine if content qualifies for removal.
- Identify the correct legal or policy basis for removal, such as defamation, GDPR or right to erasure, copyright/DMCA, or violations of platform policies.
- Draft formal removal requests and engage in negotiations with journalists, editors, webmasters, and platform trust and safety or legal teams.
- Utilize GDPR de-indexing requests and Google’s removal tools to ensure content is removed from search results.
- Maintain detailed records of each case, tracking outcomes and success rates.
- Escalate complex cases to external legal counsel when necessary.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in content or reputation removal, privacy or data protection, media law, or a paralegal/compliance role involving takedowns or disputes. Experience with DMCA takedowns, brand protection, or trust and safety legal-removal work is also relevant.
- Practical knowledge of defamation law, GDPR, the Digital Services Act (DSA), DMCA, and platform takedown policies, with application to real-world cases.
- Excellent formal written English skills and confidence in negotiation.
- Proven track record of independently securing content removals, ideally supported by measurable results.
- Highly organized, discreet, and capable of handling confidential client matters with professionalism.
- Based in Lahore or willing to relocate to Lahore.
