We are seeking an experienced Contracts and Commercial Manager to oversee both pre-award and post-award contract activities within our organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and commercial terms, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires close collaboration with multiple departments including Project, Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Finance, and Legal teams to support seamless contract execution and commercial performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all pre-award and post-award contract activities effectively to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Review contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and commercial terms to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Handle variations, change orders, claims, extensions of time, and contractual notices, maintaining clear documentation and timely communication.
- Maintain comprehensive contract registers, correspondence, and commercial records to support audit and reporting requirements.
- Identify potential contractual and commercial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies to safeguard project interests.
- Coordinate closely with Project, Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Finance, and Legal teams to align contract management with overall project objectives.
- Review commercial submissions from contractors and subcontractors to validate compliance and commercial viability.
- Support negotiation processes, settlements, and contract close-out activities to ensure favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Monitor project commercial performance and cost exposure, providing timely updates to management.
- Prepare detailed management reports on claims, variations, and other contractual matters to facilitate informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in contracts and commercial management, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, EPC, or EPCC sectors.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, claims handling, and change management processes.
- Proven experience working with FIDIC or similar international contract forms is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with strong commercial analysis capabilities.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
