Conversational AI Engineer

Bush & Bush Law Group is a technology-driven legal firm dedicated to transforming the delivery of legal services through innovation and automation. We are seeking a Conversational AI Engineer to spearhead the development and enhancement of advanced AI systems that will improve client interactions, streamline internal workflows, and elevate the overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop conversational AI systems using platforms such as Whisper, VAPI, OpenAI, and other relevant frameworks.
- Craft and refine prompts to optimize AI model performance, ensuring responses are natural, accurate, and context-aware.
- Integrate conversational AI solutions with third-party systems, APIs, and services, including CRMs, messaging platforms, and enterprise tools.
- Develop and implement automated testing frameworks to maintain the reliability, performance, and accuracy of AI systems.
- Fine-tune AI models to enhance response quality, reduce latency, and improve user experience.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and software engineers to align AI capabilities with business objectives and user needs.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply updates to sustain high-quality conversational experiences.
- Produce detailed technical documentation covering AI systems, integrations, and testing procedures.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in conversational AI, natural language processing (NLP), and related technologies to foster innovation.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in conversational AI, NLP, or related areas.
- Proven expertise with platforms such as Whisper, VAPI, OpenAI, or similar conversational AI frameworks.
- Strong background in prompt engineering for large language models (LLMs).
- Hands-on experience integrating third-party systems and APIs into AI solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement automated testing frameworks for AI applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying AI solutions.
- Knowledge of NLP libraries and frameworks such as Hugging Face, spaCy, or NLTK.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time communication protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile work environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Familiarity with chatbot frameworks such as Dialogflow, Rasa, or Microsoft Bot Framework.

Compensation for this position ranges from $5 to $7 per hour.
