Cook (Hostel)

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Cook to join our team at a hostel mess located in Westwood Colony, Lahore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious meals twice daily for hostel residents while ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen management. This role requires someone who can efficiently manage kitchen operations, maintain cleanliness, and handle supplies to support smooth day-to-day functioning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals twice daily for hostel residents, ensuring timely delivery and consistent quality.
- Plan daily meals and assist with menu preparation to meet the dietary needs of multiple individuals.
- Manage food ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishment to avoid shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, utensils, and cooking equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Ensure proper storage of food items and ingredients to preserve freshness and prevent contamination.
- Monitor portion sizes carefully to minimize food wastage and optimize resource use.
- Keep basic records of kitchen supplies, purchases, and inventory for effective stock management.
- Perform other related duties as required to support kitchen operations and overall hostel management.

Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience preparing meals for large groups in a hostel, mess, or similar institutional setting.
- Ability to consistently prepare good-quality meals on schedule.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene protocols.
- Responsible, punctual, and well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Competence in managing kitchen supplies and minimizing food waste through careful planning and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Candidates based in Lahore are preferred as the work location is in person.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs30,000 to Rs40,000 based on experience and skills.
