IHHN is seeking a dedicated Coordinator to lead rabies training, education, and research activities. The role involves planning and delivering capacity-building programs aimed at healthcare workers and community members, supporting ongoing research efforts, and contributing to the enhancement of rabies prevention and management strategies. The Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of training and outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage rabies-related trainings, workshops, webinars, and seminars, including handling logistics, participant registration, and certification processes.
- Maintain comprehensive training records and conduct assessments; prepare evaluation reports to measure program effectiveness.
- Assist in the development and regular updating of training materials and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Organize awareness campaigns and community outreach activities, including the creation and distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials. Support events such as World Rabies Day to raise public awareness.
- Support rabies research activities by contributing to study planning, conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data, and assisting in the preparation of research protocols, reports, and manuscripts.
- Serve as a liaison between IHHN hospitals, government agencies, academic institutions, and partner organizations to facilitate collaboration and information exchange.
- Prepare progress reports, presentations, and briefing notes for various stakeholders; monitor project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and procurement requests related to rabies programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall goals of the rabies prevention and control initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in public health, veterinary sciences, medicine, or a related field.
- Proven experience in coordinating training programs, preferably in healthcare or community outreach settings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Familiarity with rabies prevention, control measures, and relevant public health protocols is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
