The Coordinator, Student Wellness, reporting to the Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness within Campus Recreation, plays a vital role in promoting student health and well-being at the Richmond Campus. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating student wellness programs, with a strong focus on fostering healthy relationship behaviors and providing education on interpersonal violence prevention. The Coordinator actively engages with students and collaborates with student leaders to advance wellness initiatives, develop awareness campaigns, and implement intervention and prevention strategies related to interpersonal and domestic violence. Additionally, the role involves connecting students to local and national advocacy resources, partnering with campus and community organizations, and ensuring compliance with university training and reporting requirements. Operational duties such as communications, data management, scheduling, and event coordination are also key components of this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate comprehensive student wellness programming and educational efforts targeting students, faculty, and staff. Lead campus-wide initiatives to promote awareness and prevention of interpersonal violence while maintaining strong public relations with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare professional reports, presentations, and documentation to support these efforts.
- Collaborate with campus partners to provide direct support and resources for students experiencing interpersonal violence, including sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. Establish connections with community organizations to enhance support services.
- Support student retention by offering case management, advisement, and organizational expertise to ensure students are linked with campus and community wellness programs.
- Manage attendance tracking, assessment, and data analysis related to student wellness initiatives to monitor effectiveness and compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of student wellness programs.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in higher education, business, customer service, administration, or a related field is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- While no specific preferred qualifications or certifications are listed, experience working within student wellness, interpersonal violence prevention, or related areas would be advantageous.
- This is a full-time, exempt position with a standard schedule of 37.5 hours or more per week. The role is classified under salary grade G19 and participates in the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System (KTRS).
