Cost Estimator

A well-established and reputable leather products company based in Islamabad is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in the fit-out or interior design industry and possess strong analytical skills to accurately prepare cost estimates and project quotations. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, quotations, and detailed project cost breakdowns.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and other project documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Calculate material quantities and estimate costs related to materials, labor, and other project expenses.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations to secure competitive pricing.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of cost estimates and supplier pricing information.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to gather necessary project details.
- Support the preparation and submission of tenders within agreed deadlines.
- Identify discrepancies or missing information in project documents and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure all estimating records are well-organized and calculations are precise.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in a fit-out or interior design company.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Solid understanding of AutoCAD, technical drawings, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Good communication skills with proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Familiarity with estimation software, PDF tools, or ERP systems is considered an advantage.
