Creative Director

Novate Creative, a dynamic agency specializing in video production, graphic design, branding, social media, and digital marketing, is seeking a highly skilled Creative Director & Art Direction Lead. This part-time or freelance retainer role is based in Lahore, Pakistan, with options for remote or onsite work. The Creative Director will play a pivotal role in shaping Novate’s visual identity, elevating brand presentation, and guiding the design team to deliver premium, internationally competitive work. The focus is on expanding into international markets such as Australia, the UK, Canada, and the USA, particularly targeting dental clinics, healthcare, and aesthetic brands.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain Novate’s visual identity and creative direction, ensuring all outputs meet polished, cohesive, and professional standards aligned with international benchmarks.
- Review and provide detailed feedback on typography, layout, spacing, hierarchy, composition, imagery, and visual storytelling to improve design quality.
- Lead the creative development of agency pitch decks, portfolios, case studies, proposals, and company profiles, creating compelling visual storytelling that clearly communicates value to international clients.
- Guide and mentor the existing graphic designer by providing clear briefs, breaking projects into manageable tasks, conducting design reviews, and fostering stronger visual judgment and execution.
- Develop and enforce visual guidelines for brand identity and marketing collateral, including brochures, social media campaigns, proposal templates, and digital assets, ensuring consistency across all client-facing materials.
- Adapt visual communication strategies to meet the expectations of premium international brands, with a focus on dental and aesthetic industries, collaborating closely with the founder to align creative concepts with business objectives.
- Approve creative work before final submission to maintain quality control and uphold Novate’s creative standards.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years’ professional experience in art direction, graphic design, branding, or presentation design.
- A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional skills in typography, layout, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Proven track record in developing agency presentations, brand identities, proposals, or commercial portfolios.
- Experience in directing designers, providing constructive creative feedback, and leading design projects from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop; familiarity with Figma or other presentation tools is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate creative decisions.
- Solid understanding of international brand standards and current design trends.

Initial Deliverables
- Conduct a thorough audit of Novate’s existing pitch deck, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop a visual direction and mood board to guide creative efforts.
- Establish the structure and creative direction for the international agency presentation.
- Lead the graphic designer through revisions and final production stages.
- Create a reusable quality-control checklist and implement a review process for portfolios, proposals, and marketing collateral.

Performance Evaluation
Success will be measured by the quality and consistency of deliverables, clarity of creative direction, improvement in the graphic designer’s output, adherence to deadlines, strength of Novate’s visual identity, and the overall quality of client-facing materials.
