National Bank of Pakistan, one of the country’s largest and most reputable financial institutions, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Credit Manager (AVP) to join its Risk Management team in Sahiwal. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Regional Executive Credit in reviewing and analyzing credit proposals for SME, Commercial, and Agricultural segments, including quantitative analysis and climate-related risk assessments.
- Analyze working capital requirements and credit needs for SME, Commercial, and Agricultural clients, covering production, development loans, and seasonal financing.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines, including SBP prudential regulations.
- Structure credit limits aligned with borrower requirements and collateral offered.
- Assist in addressing internal and external audit observations related to credit risk.
- Coordinate with business units to obtain clarifications and relevant information for credit assessments.
- Develop an understanding of farm and non-farm credit lifecycles, with awareness of green banking, environmental, social, and climate-related risks.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisors.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized local or international university, preferably in accounting or finance.
- At least six years of experience in Commercial and/or SME banking, with exposure to business or risk management functions within a commercial bank.
- Strong skills in credit analysis and financial statement analysis.
- Knowledge of SME and Commercial financing products and various types of collateral.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Master’s degree in finance, economics, or ACCA qualification will be considered an advantage.
- Employment will be on a contractual basis for three years, with the possibility of renewal at management’s discretion.
