MaxRemind is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Medical Billing Customer Service Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing healthcare billing inquiries and insurance-related concerns while providing excellent customer service. This role requires direct interaction with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing issues and ensure accurate account management. Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls related to medical billing and insurance claims.
- Assist patients with billing inquiries, payment plans, and account details.
- Verify insurance information and explain coverage, co-pays, and deductibles.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and coordinate with insurance companies.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records in billing systems and CRM tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- Between 3 months to 2 years of relevant experience in medical billing or customer service.
- Strong communication skills, especially in handling sensitive patient information with professionalism.
- Basic understanding of medical billing, insurance processes, and related terminology.
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems and billing software is an advantage.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting performance targets.
- Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with the US healthcare or medical billing process.
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Experience working in a call center or healthcare support role.
