Curriculum Development Specialist

Skillston Educational System, located in Karachi, Pakistan, is looking for a seasoned Curriculum Development Specialist to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of experience in curriculum planning, instructional design, and academic quality assurance. This role involves designing, developing, reviewing, and enhancing curriculum content to meet educational standards and address students’ academic needs effectively. The specialist will work closely with academic staff to ensure that curriculum delivery is consistent and aligned with learning objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and revise curriculum frameworks, schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources.
- Align curriculum content with educational standards, learning outcomes, and assessment objectives.
- Create grade-wise and subject-wise curriculum plans, scope and sequence documents, and learning objectives.
- Review textbooks, worksheets, teaching materials, and assessments to maintain quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with academic leadership, subject coordinators, and teachers to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Develop assessment strategies, rubrics, and tools to effectively measure student progress.
- Conduct curriculum audits and recommend improvements based on academic performance data and feedback.
- Provide support to teachers through curriculum orientation, training sessions, and implementation guidance.
- Stay informed about modern teaching methodologies, educational trends, and best practices in curriculum development.
- Ensure uniformity in curriculum delivery across all grades and academic sections.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
- At least seven years of relevant experience in curriculum development, academic planning, or instructional design.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum frameworks, learning outcomes, and assessment methodologies.
- Proven experience in developing curriculum resources for school-level education.
- Excellent analytical, research, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and manage projects efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with recognized educational frameworks such as Cambridge or AKU-EB is considered an advantage.
