Customer Service Representative

Overview We are looking for a program support specialist/medical benefit verification specialist to join us as a leader in our growing provider support services. Responsibilities include researching and obtaining patients pharmacy and medical insurance coverage and benefits. Responsibilities

Handles benefits request investigations submitted by MD offices through Phone and/or web portal.
Contacts insurance companies directly to obtain patient’s specialty pharmacy benefits and prescription benefits and other info.
Updates pharmacy claim processing info i.e. correct BIN, PCN, ID and Group numbers in the Patient’s Pharmacy info tab of IPS.
Document notes in each Patient’s profile with the appropriate information regarding patient’s pharmacy benefits and specialty pharmacy information.
Handling, detecting and fixing errors in the IPS error queue.
Manage and resolve complaints and process Claims.
Identify and escalate priority issues.
Route information appropriately to the Concerns.
Follow up on Authorizations and Claims where necessary.
Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
Produce weekly call/disposition reports.
Rechecking of typed scripts and data of patients and doctors.
Rechecking of Drug prescribed, Drug Strength, Bill, Day supply and refills.
Ensuring error free processing of insurance.
Ensure all activities in accordance with companywide information security policies and procedures as per ISO 27001 and 9001 requirements.
