Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Engineer based in Karachi, Pakistan, who is passionate about protecting digital assets and staying ahead of evolving cyber threats. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents across networks, endpoints, cloud environments, and applications.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and proactive threat hunting to identify and mitigate risks.
- Manage and optimize security tools, including SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Secure AI and large language model (LLM)-based applications against threats such as prompt injection and data leakage.
- Develop and enforce policies for the safe use of AI tools, addressing AI-enabled threats like deepfake fraud and AI-generated phishing attacks.
- Evaluate AI-powered security solutions and assist in maintaining compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
- Prepare comprehensive risk assessments, incident reports, and security awareness materials to support organizational security posture.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and cloud security principles.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, incident response procedures, and vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with security risks related to AI and large language models.
- Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate tasks and enhance security operations.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
