Data Analyst

Systems Limited is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with extensive expertise in the Power BI ecosystem to design, develop, and maintain comprehensive business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in dataflow development, data ingestion, transformation, and modeling, along with creating semantic models and Power BI reports and dashboards. A strong command of Power Query, DAX, data governance, and the broader Microsoft Power Platform is essential. Experience working with diverse data sources such as Excel, SharePoint Lists, and SQL databases is critical to delivering scalable, high-quality analytics that drive informed decision-making. Familiarity with AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and reporting is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Power BI Dataflows, data models, and semantic models to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Extract, cleanse, transform, and validate data using Power Query, M Language, SQL, VBA, and related tools; experience with Alteryx is a plus.
- Perform data modeling activities, demonstrating a strong understanding of fact and dimension tables, as well as Star and Snowflake schema designs.
- Analyze and improve existing Excel-based reports by developing enhancements, implementing improvements, and monitoring validation processes to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards throughout the entire development lifecycle, leveraging advanced skills in Power Query, M Language, DAX, and Power BI functions.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and sustainable business intelligence solutions.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by integrating AI tools and technologies to boost productivity and reporting quality.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of internal processes, quality standards, process controls, and audit requirements, including ERD, LDM, PDM, and high-level data wrangling overviews.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while proactively engaging with users and internal teams to clarify business and technical requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Power BI development.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Power BI Dataflows, Power Query & M Language, DAX, Semantic Models, VBA, and Regex functionality.
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and Google Data Studio.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data transformation, data modeling, and data governance principles.
- Proven experience working with Excel, SharePoint Lists, SQL databases, and handling large datasets.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power Apps; experience with Power Automate and Power Apps is advantageous.
- Experience developing products using agile methodologies and ways of working.
- Exposure to Azure-based data and analytics services.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI tools practically within analytics workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
