This role is for a Quality Operator specializing in textiles, based in an office environment. The position involves working at a desk in an air-conditioned setting, focusing on computer-based tasks rather than operating machinery or being on the production floor. The primary responsibility is to review fabric images captured by automated inspection systems on knitting lines and accurately identify and label defects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of textiles who prefers to apply their expertise in a controlled office environment rather than on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities
- Review fabric images on screen and accurately label defects such as holes, drop stitches, oil marks, contamination, elastane issues, thick or thin yarn, softener marks, friction marks, needle lines, and other irregularities using specialized annotation software.
- Consistently apply written labeling guidelines to ensure data reliability across all images.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, with annotations regularly reviewed against established quality standards.
- Identify and report unclear images or new and unusual defect types to the technical team instead of making assumptions.
- Write concise and clear notes and reports in English regarding observations and data findings.
- Collaborate with AI and quality teams to clarify defect definitions and resolve borderline cases.
- Complete company-provided training related to the defect catalog and annotation tools.

Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of knitting, weaving, and/or finished fabric inspection, with the ability to recognize and name common fabric defects.
- Strong spoken and written English skills are mandatory, as the role involves writing reports and communicating with international colleagues.
- Comfortable working on a computer for extended periods, demonstrating precise mouse control, keyboard use, and familiarity with basic software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and patience to maintain accuracy over hundreds of images.
- Willingness to learn and complete technical training provided by the company.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Previous experience in textile quality control or fabric inspection, preferably within finished fabrics, weaving, or dyehouse departments.
- Familiarity with fabric specifications such as GSM, width, shade, and appearance.
- Experience or exposure to data labeling, image annotation, or AI/machine learning projects is advantageous.

This position offers a clean, quiet office environment free from production floor noise and shift work, making it a comfortable desk-based role. The work directly contributes to training AI models used by textile mills worldwide, allowing your textile expertise to have a global impact. There is also potential for professional growth within the project, which operates internationally and involves collaboration with engineers and quality specialists outside Pakistan.

The role is full-time and offers a competitive salary ranging from Rs70,000 to Rs90,000 per month. The office is modern and air-conditioned, providing a comfortable workspace. Paid technical training on textiles and AI annotation tools is included to support your development in the role. This is an in-person position based at the company’s office location.
