Data Architect - AI & Knowledge Platforms

We are seeking a talented Data Architect specializing in AI and Knowledge Platforms to join our fully remote team. This role is exclusively open to candidates based in Sri Lanka and offers competitive compensation in USD. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data platforms that can adapt to significant product changes over time.
- Develop strategies for data retention, determining which data should be preserved indefinitely and which can be discarded.
- Architect "memory" systems for AI applications to enhance decision-making capabilities through continuous learning.
- Bridge the gap between data engineering and data science by working effectively across both disciplines.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes with a focus on future scalability and AI integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the data platform aligns with evolving business and AI product needs.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in designing and building complex data platforms, including ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Strong understanding of AI systems and how data architecture supports AI model training and inference.
- Ability to think strategically about data lifecycle management, including long-term data retention and disposal policies.
- Experience working at the intersection of data engineering and data science, with comfort navigating both areas.
- Demonstrated capability to design systems that remain functional and scalable despite significant product evolution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a forward-thinking mindset focused on innovation in data architecture.
