Data & Business Analyst (E-commerce)

Sunday Bazar is seeking a Data & Business Analyst with 2 to 4 years of experience to join their e-commerce team in Karachi. This full-time, on-site role involves transforming business data into actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making across various departments including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Inventory, Operations, and Customer Performance. The ideal candidate will not only prepare reports but also interpret the underlying reasons behind the data trends, helping identify opportunities and challenges to drive business growth. Working hours are Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI reports, and management reports to track business performance.
- Collect, organize, clean, and analyze data from multiple business functions.
- Analyze sales, product, customer, marketing, inventory, finance, and operational data to identify trends and gaps.
- Monitor sales performance to highlight best-selling, slow-moving, underperforming, and high-potential products.
- Track essential e-commerce KPIs and uncover growth opportunities.
- Evaluate marketing and advertising data to assess campaign effectiveness and impact on sales.
- Utilize SQL for data extraction, filtering, joining, and analysis as needed.
- Apply advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, lookups, formulas, and data manipulation for reporting and reconciliation.
- Conduct trend analysis and basic forecasting to support business planning.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports based on management requests, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Translate analytical findings into practical business recommendations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
- Prior experience in an e-commerce or retail environment is highly preferred.
- Strong hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Power BI.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS/COUNTIFS, charts, and data analysis.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- Experience in developing dashboards, KPI reports, and management reports.
- Solid understanding of data analysis, visualization, and business performance metrics.
- Ability to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities from complex datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to explain data insights to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4).
- Exposure to ERP or business management systems.
- Understanding of key e-commerce metrics such as Revenue, Orders, Average Order Value (AOV), Conversion Rate, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), ROAS, Sales Growth, Product Performance, and Inventory Turnover.
- Knowledge of Power Query, DAX, or data modeling within Power BI is an advantage.

Candidates must be willing to commute or relocate to Gulshan-e-Jami, Model Colony, Malir, Karachi, and be available to work Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The salary range for this position is PKR 40,000 to 80,000 per month. The ideal candidate is someone who can answer not just what is happening in the data, but why it is happening, what it means for the business, and what actions should be taken next. Strong comfort with handling large datasets and communicating insights effectively to management is essential.
