Data Editor (TV & Streaming) - Talent Pool - Pakistan

Simply.TV is a global company dedicated to creating the world’s best TV, movie, and sports data to enhance content discovery for millions of viewers worldwide. With a team of over 400 passionate professionals, we strive to ensure every title, match, and piece of content is accurate, rich, and ready to shine. Although there is no current open position, we are building a community of detail-oriented individuals who love TV, movies, streaming content, and working with data. This process includes a profile review, a short skills test, and a screening interview. Successful candidates will be among the first contacted when relevant opportunities arise.

Key Responsibilities
As a Data Editor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of TV and streaming content information. Your tasks will include researching and verifying details about movies, series, episodes, and other entertainment content. You will create, update, and maintain records in our database, reviewing metadata such as titles, synopses, genres, cast and crew information, and release dates. Identifying and correcting missing or inconsistent data is essential, as is using reliable online sources to validate and enrich content. You will adhere to internal editorial guidelines and quality standards to ensure uniformity across the database. The role requires working efficiently with large volumes of data while maintaining high accuracy. Collaboration with colleagues and other teams will be necessary when clarifications or further investigations are needed. Additionally, you will be expected to learn new tools, processes, and content standards as projects and customer needs evolve.

Required Qualifications
Applicants must be located in Pakistan and possess exceptional written and spoken English skills. A highly structured working style with outstanding attention to detail is critical, as you will need to spot errors before anyone else. Comfort with data, computers, and databases is essential. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same is important, along with a strong drive to succeed and a willingness to engage fully from day one. Passion for the product and an understanding of the value of great metadata in the entertainment industry are key. A strong interest in TV, movies, streaming platforms, and entertainment content is also required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with completed higher education, diplomas, technical studies, or university degrees in relevant fields such as Business, Data, or Media—or equivalent professional experience—will be favored. Experience in media, broadcasting, streaming, or the entertainment industry is a plus. Collaborative skills that foster positive working relationships, genuine curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement are highly valued. Interest in building a long-term career at Simply.TV is also desirable.

This role reports to the Editorial Project Manager and is offered on a freelance basis. It is a remote position based in Pakistan, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. Compensation for full-time allocation is up to 450€ per month.
