As a Data Engineer specializing in ETL processes, you will design and implement data integration solutions to ensure efficient and seamless data flow within our systems. Your role includes optimizing data pipelines, managing large datasets, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to fulfill data processing requirements. You will play a critical role in migrating and transforming healthcare data, contributing to the overall success of our technology platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor, resolving complex database migration challenges, particularly in healthcare data environments.
- Develop and share best practices, sample code, and technical presentations tailored to both business and technical audiences.
- Engage with clients to gather project requirements and ensure smooth project delivery from initiation to completion.
- Migrate transactional databases such as SQL Server (2008 and above), PostgreSQL, and MySQL to the CureMD platform.
- Perform data scraping using Python to support data integration tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare clients to understand technical needs and assist in designing, planning, managing, and troubleshooting data migration processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in data migration strategies, including large-scale production system migrations in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Proficiency with database technologies such as SQL Server (2008+), PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Strong SQL skills combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with data scraping using Python.
- Effective communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with database management tools for backups, recovery, snapshot management, and partitioning.
- Hands-on experience developing ELT or ETL workflows.
