Data Engineer

We are seeking experienced Data Engineering Consultants with a strong background in Snowflake and data warehousing to contribute to our ongoing data platform projects. The ideal candidate will independently lead data engineering initiatives, design scalable data architectures, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage production support activities and ensure data quality across systems while working within Agile and ITIL frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
- Independently drive and lead end-to-end data engineering deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Design and implement scalable data architectures, pipelines, and data integration solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Provide production support, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, problems, and changes.
- Maintain data quality and consistency across multiple systems.
- Work closely with product teams to refine and prioritize the backlog.
- Adhere to ITIL processes for Incident, Change, and Problem Management.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Data Engineering or Database Engineering roles.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, with strong SQL development skills and solid data engineering and modeling expertise. Candidates with a strong SQL background and an eagerness to learn Snowflake are also encouraged to apply.
- Deep understanding of Snowflake features such as Streams, Snowpipe, Tasks, and Snowpark.
- Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and star/snowflake schema design.
- Proficient in SQL and relational database management.
- Experience working with data pipelines and integration tools; familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub, and Liquibase is advantageous.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiar with CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to Kafka or similar streaming technologies.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with low-latency data platforms is a plus.
- Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks is desirable.
- Exposure to Financial Services or Blockchain domains will be considered an advantage.
