The Contract Commercial Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the contract management team by providing dependable daily operational support to the Team Manager and Senior Specialist. This position involves accurate contract data entry into CPQ systems, managing a variety of global orders—including new, amended, and renewal contracts—and closely tracking case statuses to facilitate smooth transaction flows from deal creation through to fulfillment and invoicing. The Specialist collaborates with Sales and other departments to promptly address client inquiries and resolve contract-related issues, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience. Adherence to the OTC ecosystem, business SLAs, pricing, and legal compliance standards is essential, as is maintaining thorough documentation to support audit readiness and continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise contract data entry into CPQ deals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
- Manage all global orders, including new orders, amendments, and renewals, with a focus on Global Majors, Strategic Customers, Large Regional Customers, and complex orders requiring resolution.
- Track case statuses diligently to guarantee smooth transaction processing from deal initiation through fulfillment and invoicing.
- Monitor escalations from Sales, Client Services, and other stakeholders; coordinate responses and clarifications to ensure timely resolution of cases.
- Support Sales teams by addressing client inquiries related to products, billing, account and contract status, address changes, cancellations, rebills, and other contract matters.
- Provide comprehensive contract management support to the sales organization, including regular participation in BPM meetings and reporting on deal and case statuses for key accounts both verbally and in writing.
- Ensure 100% adherence to the CPQ ecosystem and all service procedures, delivering actionable and solution-oriented metrics to business partners.
- Meet or exceed business SLAs and process requirements through effective prioritization, timely issue resolution, and strict compliance with guidelines.
- Collaborate across the S&P Global Energy organization to resolve sales contract management issues promptly.
- Contribute to the review, enhancement, and updating of departmental processes and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Document all activities, communications, and case management progress within CPQ systems.
- Provide necessary information and documentation to support audit activities and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in contract management and order processing.
- Demonstrated proficiency in accurate data entry within CPQ systems or comparable platforms.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
