Athar & Co is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Officer to join their team based at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering and updating shipment data, maintaining customs documentation, and supporting the smooth flow of information between departments. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and update shipment data into internal systems and customs software with precision.
- Prepare and maintain customs clearance documentation, ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Verify the accuracy of Bills of Entry, airway bills, invoices, and packing lists.
- Maintain organized digital and hardcopy records of shipments for easy retrieval and reference.
- Coordinate closely with operations staff to facilitate timely and accurate data flow.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Perform routine administrative tasks related to customs processing to support overall operations.
- Follow up on any discrepancies in documentation by liaising with relevant departments to resolve issues promptly.
Required Qualifications:
- Intermediate or Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a background in Commerce.
- Proven experience in data entry or administrative support roles is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high accuracy.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with import/export procedures and customs documentation is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative team player mindset.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience working in logistics, customs, or related fields will be considered an asset.
- The position offers a monthly salary range of Rs35,000 to Rs40,000.
