Data Ops L1 Support Engineer:

ADDO is seeking a Data Ops L1 Support Engineer to join their team in Islamabad, Pakistan. The successful candidate will provide first-level support for a telecommunications client’s Business Intelligence (BI) and data operations environment. This role involves monitoring data platforms, conducting routine operational checks, troubleshooting basic issues, and escalating incidents according to established service level agreements (SLAs). The engineer will play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and maintaining system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Teradata space usage, manage user administration, and perform regular system checks.
- Oversee Informatica workflows and ETL job execution at the L1 support level.
- Manage SJLM job scheduling and monitor batch processes to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor backup operations using NetBackup and DSA tools to guarantee data protection.
- Utilize Teradata Viewpoint and analyze database statistics to identify potential issues.
- Execute basic SQL queries for troubleshooting and resolving first-level incidents.
- Log incidents accurately, escalate unresolved issues promptly, conduct shift handovers, and prepare operational reports to maintain transparency and continuity.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Between 1 to 4 years of experience in BI operations, database support, or production environment monitoring.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts as per business requirements.
