Data Ops L1 Support Engineer

ADDO is seeking BI Ops L1 Support Engineers to join the team supporting a telecommunications client’s business intelligence and data operations environment. The role involves monitoring various data platforms, conducting routine operational checks, troubleshooting basic issues, and ensuring timely escalation of incidents according to defined service level agreements (SLAs). This position plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth functioning of BI systems and supporting data-driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Teradata environments, including user administration and system health checks.
- Oversee Informatica workflows and ETL job execution at the L1 support level.
- Manage SJLM job scheduling and monitor batch processes to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct regular monitoring of NetBackup and DSA backup systems to safeguard data integrity.
- Utilize Teradata Viewpoint and database statistics tools to track system performance.
- Execute basic SQL queries and perform first-level troubleshooting to resolve common issues.
- Log incidents accurately, escalate unresolved problems within SLA timelines, and ensure smooth shift handovers.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports to support continuous improvement and transparency.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Between 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in business intelligence operations, database support, or production environment monitoring.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts as per business requirements.
