Data Scientist

The organization is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team, focusing on analyzing complex datasets to extract actionable insights that drive business decisions. The role involves building and deploying predictive models using machine learning techniques, Python, and SQL, as well as effectively communicating findings through clear visualizations and reports to create measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, evaluation, automation, and governance of data science projects aimed at enhancing customer understanding and enabling targeted marketing campaigns.
- Build actionable statistical models including predictive analytics, clustering, segmentation (behavioral, payment, lifestyle), digital analytics (app propensity, churn), stratified sampling across key performance indicators, and association rule mining to identify product affinities using open-source tools such as Python or R.
- Contribute to credit risk modeling efforts, including credit scoring, probability of default modeling, and collections optimization. Experience in these areas is considered a strong advantage.
- Design and implement model deployment pipelines following MLOps best practices to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Perform ad hoc deep-dive analyses, investigative analytics, and customer profiling using complex SQL queries as part of routine tasks.
- Collaborate proactively with various departments, including business heads, to provide advanced analytics, data modeling systems, and actionable insights.
- Work closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) team, acting as the custodian of data science projects and serving as a liaison between commercial users and the technology team.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant area is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Data Science, with a focus on machine learning and generative AI.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages.
- Experience working with generative AI and agentic AI frameworks.
