Datawarehouse Test Lead

We are seeking an experienced Datawarehouse Test Lead with strong expertise in ETL testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data sources, verifying transformation logic, and ensuring data accuracy in target tables within P&C insurance software solutions. This role requires designing, executing, and troubleshooting data testing strategies, with a solid understanding of Python, SQL, XML, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes. The position offers a hybrid work model across Hyderabad, Pune, Coimbatore, or Bengaluru and requires 7–10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive data testing strategies to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Conduct thorough data validation to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Design detailed test plans, cases, and scenarios focusing on data completeness, correctness, and consistency.
- Execute both manual and automated data testing based on defined plans.
- Analyze source-to-target mappings and verify source system data.
- Validate data transformations, aggregations, and business rules to ensure correctness.
- Identify data anomalies and perform root-cause analysis in collaboration with developers and data engineers.
- Participate in data migration and reconciliation testing between legacy and modern systems.
- Develop and maintain automated data validation scripts and frameworks using SQL, Python, or similar languages.
- Implement automated validation checks to improve testing efficiency and early detection of data issues.
- Test ETL extraction, transformation, and loading processes to ensure accurate data flow through pipeline stages.
- Collaborate closely with development and data engineering teams to prioritize and resolve defects.
- Perform regression testing and adhere to established quality standards and testing practices.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance with a focus on data testing and validation.
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance concepts, data models, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Solid knowledge of data testing principles, including both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Experience developing data validation scripts and frameworks using Python, SQL, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with ETL testing tools and data quality platforms such as Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Talend, or equivalents.
- Knowledge of BI reporting testing tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or HP ALM.
- Understanding of regression testing and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
