The DCS Plant Operator will be responsible for overseeing and controlling plant operations through the Distributed Control System (DCS). This role requires maintaining stable operating conditions by monitoring process parameters, responding promptly to alarms, and ensuring safe, efficient plant performance according to established procedures. The operator will work closely with field operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams to support smooth and continuous plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control plant operations using the DCS control panel.
- Track process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and levels to maintain operations within specified limits.
- Respond to alarms and process deviations by taking corrective actions as outlined in standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate with field operators, shift supervisors, and maintenance personnel to ensure operational continuity.
- Observe equipment status and report any abnormalities, malfunctions, or potential failures promptly.
- Maintain accurate shift logs, operational records, production reports, and process data.
- Adhere strictly to SOPs, safety guidelines, and emergency response protocols.
- Assist with plant start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting, and routine operational activities.
- Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
- Ensure compliance with process safety, housekeeping, and environmental standards.

Required Qualifications
- DAE or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in plant operations, preferably within chemical or process manufacturing environments.
- Basic knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems, process instrumentation, and industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with process parameters, P&IDs, operating procedures, and industrial safety practices.
- Ability to interpret alarms, identify process deviations, and respond effectively.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts as required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with DCS-based plant operations.
- Understanding of pumps, compressors, valves, instrumentation, and other process equipment.
- Strong observation skills, troubleshooting capability, effective communication, and meticulous record-keeping.
