Department Manager Security

This role involves managing the overall security operations of a retail store to ensure a safe environment for employees, customers, and company assets. The position requires overseeing security personnel, monitoring surveillance systems, and implementing measures to prevent theft and inventory loss. The candidate will also be responsible for conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and coordinating with store management and law enforcement when necessary. Maintaining compliance with company security policies and safety standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise all security operations within the retail store.
- Ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, and company property.
- Oversee security staff, including scheduling duty rosters and deployment.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and ensure all security equipment is functioning properly.
- Prevent theft, shoplifting, pilferage, and minimize inventory losses.
- Conduct regular security inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Investigate security incidents thoroughly and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure proper checking of incoming and outgoing goods and personnel.
- Coordinate effectively with store management and law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Enforce compliance with company security policies, emergency procedures, and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Security Management certification or relevant security training is preferred.

Experience

- 5 to 7 years of experience in security operations.
- At least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in retail security is preferred.
