The Deputy Manager - School Relations will play a pivotal role in expanding the reach and revenue of TCF Impact Interventions within a designated territory by establishing and nurturing partnerships with Low-Fee Private Schools. This position involves driving the adoption of TCF’s teacher training programs and educational resources, managing partner relationships from initial engagement through ongoing support, and meeting assigned volume and value targets. Additionally, the role supports operational functions such as CRM data management, sales records, inventory, and related processes in collaboration with the Senior Manager – Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Development & School Outreach: Manage an assigned geographic territory to increase the footprint of TCF Impact Interventions. Identify and maintain a comprehensive database of Low-Fee Private Schools, education organizations, and private school associations. Conduct regular visits to schools to build relationships with owners, principals, and key decision-makers. Continuously expand the pipeline by discovering new partnership opportunities.
Solution-Based Selling: Assess the academic and professional development needs of partner schools and recommend appropriate education solutions. Promote and secure enrollments in TCF Dastak Teacher Training programs and encourage the adoption of TCF School Publishing books and resources. Deliver customized presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative discussions to position TCF as a long-term learning partner.
Sales & Revenue Generation: Achieve assigned sales volume and value targets through effective promotion of teacher training programs and educational materials. Maintain a robust sales pipeline, convert prospects into active partners, and track opportunities from lead generation to closure. Contribute to the financial sustainability and growth of Impact Interventions by consistently generating revenue.
Relationship Management & Partner Success: Act as the primary contact for partner schools, fostering long-term relationships through regular engagement and responsive support. Address partner queries promptly and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth program execution and timely delivery of resources. Ensure a positive customer experience that encourages repeat business and referrals.
Product Adoption & Implementation Support: Conduct orientation sessions and program briefings for school leadership and teachers. Facilitate sample book distribution and follow-up with prospective schools. Support onboarding and implementation of TCF products, monitor progress, and gather feedback to enhance customer satisfaction.
Exhibitions, Events & Marketing Support: Represent TCF at exhibitions, conferences, education expos, and book fairs. Generate leads and conduct spot sales during events. Organize school visits, promotional campaigns, and product launches within the territory to increase awareness and adoption of TCF offerings.
CRM, Inventory & Operations Support: Assist the Senior Manager – Operations in maintaining accurate CRM records, including school profiles, leads, sales activities, and customer interactions. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, coordinating dispatches, and resolving delivery issues to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
Sales Operations & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and partnership status. Coordinate invoicing and payment follow-ups. Prepare periodic reports on sales performance, territory coverage, and market insights. Conduct market intelligence to monitor competitors, pricing, and emerging opportunities.
Community Engagement & Teacher Networks: Encourage partner schools and teachers to participate in Dastak’s Communities of Practice, alumni networks, webinars, and other professional learning initiatives. Collaborate with the Community of Practice team to identify teacher needs, potential leaders, and share feedback to improve the learning experience.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are essential. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a customer-focused approach. Skilled in negotiation and consultative selling. Ability to independently manage a sales territory and prioritize tasks effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
6-8 years of experience in sales, business development, relationship management, or educational marketing. Experience working with schools, educational institutions, NGOs, publishers, or training organizations is preferred. Demonstrated success in achieving sales or business development targets. Experience in field sales, institutional sales, or B2B relationship management is an advantage.
