We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team in Lahore as an Assistant Manager Finance – Accounting. This role is pivotal in managing key accounting functions, financial reporting, cash flow management, reconciliations, taxation, audit coordination, and financial controls. The position supports the delivery of accurate and timely financial information to facilitate business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial queries and liaise with internal departments and headquarters.
- Oversee procedures for verifying and authorizing payments within the Finance team.
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Prepare and monitor weekly cash flow, daily bank reports, monthly Capex, and direct cash flow statements.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and reconcile accounts with local and international vendors.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
- Ensure correct withholding tax deductions, timely tax deposits, and accurate filing of tax returns.
- Coordinate external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Support budgeting processes and prepare financial statements and related reports as scheduled.
- Resolve financial and payment-related issues in coordination with vendors.
- Process employee expense reimbursements in compliance with company policies.
- Handle postings related to import payments and receipts from headquarters.
- Liaise with banks on financial and banking matters.
- Maintain accounting controls and assist in developing accounting policies and procedures.
- Investigate and reconcile financial discrepancies through detailed account analysis.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities ensuring timely and accurate bookkeeping.
- Provide ongoing support for financial information systems and management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA Finalist.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong expertise in financial accounting, reconciliations, cash flow management, accounts payable/receivable, taxation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Experience coordinating external audits, vendor reconciliations, banking operations, and intercompany transactions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, accuracy, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business One.
- Good command of English communication skills.
