The role involves conducting thorough pre-audit reviews of invoices and payment vouchers from multiple regional offices under the Community Health Directorate (CHD) project. The incumbent will monitor operational activities across Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, and other districts, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Regular field visits to review program reports and audit progress are essential, along with preparing detailed reports on various departmental operations. The position requires close coordination with senior management to follow up on audit findings and support the development of audit plans and procedures. Additionally, the role includes mentoring audit staff to enhance their skills and conducting performance appraisals to maintain high standards within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-audit of invoices and payment vouchers from Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta offices under the CHD project, reporting any discrepancies to the Senior Manager, Internal Audit.
- Monitor and evaluate operational activities of CHD projects across Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, and other districts, providing observations and feedback to senior management.
- Perform field visits to various locations in Peshawar and Quetta to review program reports as directed by supervisors.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports on the operational activities of assigned departments.
- Regularly review the progress of audit assignments to ensure timely and effective completion.
- Follow up with CHD departments to track the implementation status of prior audit recommendations.
- Supervise the examination and analysis of records to verify transaction accuracy, compliance with laws, and adherence to organizational policies.
- Undertake additional assignments as delegated by supervisors.
- Mentor and train junior audit staff to improve their efficiency and audit competencies.
- Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with departmental heads to foster trust and collaboration.
- Conduct performance appraisals for relevant audit personnel.
- Assist Senior Managers in developing the Annual Audit Plan and maintaining audit documentation.
- Support the creation and updating of standard audit procedures to enhance audit effectiveness.
- Participate in special investigations and audit reviews as required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in audit functions, particularly in pre-audit and operational audit within multi-location projects.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, compliance requirements, and internal control processes.
- Ability to analyze financial and operational records with attention to detail.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in mentoring and supervising audit teams.
