Deputy Manager Polymer Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Polymer Engineer with a strong background in PVC soft film production to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in PVC soft film extrusion and calendering processes. This role involves overseeing production schedules, ensuring product quality, managing shift teams, and coordinating maintenance activities to optimize operational efficiency. The position requires working on-site and offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 150,000.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, taking into account machine capacity, order deadlines, and material availability to meet production targets efficiently.
- Monitor critical parameters during PVC soft film extrusion and calendering processes, including temperature profiles, thickness control, clarity, flexibility, and roll winding, to minimize scrap and defects.
- Supervise shift teams, including supervisors, operators, and helpers. Manage shift rotas, including night shifts, while maintaining workforce discipline and productivity.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to plan and schedule preventive and breakdown maintenance for extruders, calendars, and related equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), industrial safety regulations, and proper ventilation and material handling protocols specific to PVC processing to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Polymer Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience specifically in PVC soft film production.
- Proven expertise in extrusion and calendering processes with a focus on quality control and process optimization.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing shift teams and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and operational best practices in polymer manufacturing.

Work Location and Compensation

This is an in-person role based at the production facility. The position offers a competitive salary package ranging from Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 150,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
