Deputy Manager SAP - PS ( Project Systems )

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Proposal professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical equipment manufacturing, with expertise in tendering, technical proposal development, and cost estimation. This role focuses on boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other static process equipment, requiring a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals in response to RFQs and tenders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Review tender documents, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to fully understand project requirements.
- Prepare and validate detailed cost estimates covering materials, fabrication, welding, machining, testing, inspection, and other manufacturing activities.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, QA/QC, and Sales/Marketing teams to develop technically compliant and commercially viable bids.
- Evaluate and apply relevant codes and standards, including ASME BPVC, TEMA, and other industry specifications, to ensure compliance.
- Manage pre-bid and post-bid clarifications, identify technical and commercial risks, and support the development of effective bid strategies.
- Guide and mentor proposal team members, contributing to improvements in estimation accuracy, costing systems, and overall proposal quality.
- Facilitate the smooth handover of approved cost estimates and related documentation to Project Management upon contract award.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in proposals, tendering, estimation, or costing within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and static process equipment.
- Working knowledge of ASME codes, material specifications, fabrication processes, and inspection requirements.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, verifying BOQs, performing cost estimation, and using MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
