Job Title: Deputy Production Manager

The Deputy Production Manager at Kamion Pharma plays a crucial role in overseeing complex manufacturing processes to ensure optimal operational performance. This position focuses on enhancing workflow efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. The role demands effective resource management and collaboration across teams to meet production targets while adhering to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and managing production schedules that align with customer demands, ensuring compliance with DRAP regulations, GMP, and FDA standards.
- Supervise daily production activities to guarantee alignment with company objectives, quality benchmarks, and safety protocols within controlled production environments.
- Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of sterile production area requirements, addressing contamination control, equipment sterilization, and machine maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance team to resolve any quality deviations or concerns.
- Manage and train production staff to uphold productivity, safety standards, and compliance with established procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, minimizing waste, and reducing operational costs through lean manufacturing principles.
- Oversee routine machine maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.
- Monitor raw material consumption and coordinate with the Procurement Department to sustain optimal inventory levels.
- Prepare detailed production reports for senior management and maintain accurate documentation of production processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is mandatory; a Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in production management, preferably within pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing sectors.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with wound care dressings, pain relief patches, surgical bandages and tapes, as well as sterilization techniques such as Electron Beam and Gamma Radiation.
- Working knowledge of GMP/ISO standards and DRAP regulatory requirements, including audit experience.
- Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, coupled with effective leadership and communication abilities.
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time, on-site role based at Kamion Pharma’s manufacturing facility in Karachi.
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.
Compensation:
- Monthly salary range: PKR 70,000 to PKR 150,000
