Design & Application Engineer

Avanceon is seeking a skilled Design & Application Engineer to join our team and drive innovation in the manufacturing sector. Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, integrate, and implement process control solutions tailored to various industries.
- Develop detailed Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and loop descriptions for plants, processes, and equipment.
- Prepare clear and concise User Requirement Specifications to guide project execution.
- Create comprehensive software and hardware design specifications.
- Design, write, test, implement, and document robust PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI software applications.
- Develop and execute control system validation and testing protocols to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Specify and procure essential process instrumentation, control systems, drives, and electrical components.
- Produce accurate electrical and control panel schematics.
- Prepare detailed scope of supply documentation.
- Manage and monitor automation project progress to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Oversee onsite installation, testing, and commissioning of control systems, ensuring seamless integration.
- Provide training to operators and engineers on new control systems to facilitate effective operation and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Between 1 to 4 years of practical experience in the industrial automation industry.
- Hands-on knowledge of process manufacturing, field instrumentation, and control system installation.
- Experience across multiple project phases including requirements documentation, detailed design, implementation, system integration, testing, and onsite startup.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
