DESIGN ENGINEER – SOLAR/WIND/BESS

Our client, a prominent company in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a skilled Design Engineer specializing in Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Reporting to the Manager of Business Development - Technical, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing renewable energy systems across various projects. This role involves creating detailed layouts, conducting site assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating closely with engineering and project management teams to deliver efficient and reliable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical and mechanical layouts for Solar, Wind, BESS, and hybrid energy systems tailored to project requirements.
- Utilize specialized design software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, Homer, or similar tools to develop accurate system models.
- Conduct on-site evaluations to assess feasibility, including analysis of shading, orientation, and structural integrity for optimal system placement.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and detailed specifications.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, local codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution and timely delivery.
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases to resolve issues and ensure system performance.
- Continuously analyze and optimize system designs to maximize efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in renewable energy and energy storage technologies, integrating new developments into design practices.
- Regularly review and update design standards and procedures to maintain high quality and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 16 years of education, preferably a master’s degree from a recognized HEC-accredited university or an equivalent foreign degree. Relevant fields include Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related disciplines.
- At least 3 to 4 years of professional experience, ideally within a large national or multinational organization. Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar or closely related role.
- Proven expertise in renewable energy system design, with mandatory experience in designing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Proficiency in design and simulation software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, Homer, or equivalent tools.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, and BESS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
