Dev Ops Engineer

We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong backend development skills who is passionate about building scalable systems, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and automating deployments. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) or Python.
- Containerize applications with Docker and manage deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) across development, staging, and production environments.
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable software releases.
- Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and data integrity in PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth2, and manage environment configurations and secrets.
- Handle server-side logic, caching strategies, background jobs, and asynchronous processes.
- Integrate external APIs, webhooks, and third-party services, including AI/LLM APIs when applicable.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot backend issues, and resolve production incidents.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code following clean architecture principles.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, QA teams, and project managers to deliver features on schedule.
- Document APIs, deployment procedures, and backend workflows using Swagger/OpenAPI.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in backend development with exposure to DevOps practices.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Node.js/Express/NestJS) or Python frameworks (FastAPI/Django/Flask).
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with API design, versioning, and documentation standards.
- Practical experience with Docker and deploying applications on GCP or similar cloud platforms.
- Understanding of Git workflows and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving skills, and effective communication in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

The salary range for this full-time remote position is PKR 100,000 to 150,000, with the final offer based on your skills and experience demonstrated during the hiring process.
