The DevOps Engineer position at Xynotech is a full-time, on-site role based in Karachi. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support agile software development across distributed teams. Daily tasks include managing Linux-based systems, configuring and optimizing continuous integration pipelines, monitoring system performance, and ensuring reliable application releases. The role requires close collaboration with software developers, QA engineers, and project managers to enhance build, test, and deployment workflows. Additionally, the engineer will implement Infrastructure as Code practices to create scalable and repeatable environments, contribute to automation initiatives, improve security and reliability, and support continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and deployment pipelines supporting agile development.
- Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based production environments.
- Configure and optimize Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable application releases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and project managers to improve build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible for scalable and repeatable infrastructure management.
- Drive automation efforts to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Enhance system security and reliability through best practices and proactive monitoring.
- Support continuous improvement of DevOps tools, processes, and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with hands-on experience using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or equivalent.
- Practical experience with Continuous Integration tools and workflows, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
- Solid system administration skills encompassing server management, network configuration, and security.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux systems administration and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities efficiently, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and their associated DevOps services is a plus.
