DevOps Engineer

Nevka Systems specializes in developing fintech, banking, payment, remittance, and enterprise software solutions. We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and support the deployment and operation of reliable, secure, and scalable applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and project leads to ensure smooth delivery and maintenance of our software services.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure, with a preference for AWS.
- Utilize infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure management.
- Develop and operate containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Maintain Linux servers, networking components, databases, storage, and application environments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure system reliability.
- Investigate deployment failures and production incidents, identifying root causes and driving resolution.
- Manage secrets, access controls, patching, and routine infrastructure updates to maintain security and compliance.
- Continuously improve deployment reliability, system performance, availability, and cloud cost efficiency.
- Document infrastructure configurations, release procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Coordinate with development and QA teams to support software releases and resolve environment-related issues.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
- Strong Linux administration skills and solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Practical experience working with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience using monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
- Knowledge of backup strategies, disaster recovery, access management, and secure deployment practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience supporting fintech, banking, payment systems, or other regulated software environments.
- Knowledge of high-availability systems and production incident response processes.
- Experience managing cloud networking components, including managed databases, load balancers, and web application firewalls (WAFs).
- Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or Kubernetes are a plus.
