DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team located near Bahria Town, Lahore. The successful candidate will play a critical role in automating software delivery, managing cloud infrastructure, enhancing system reliability, and optimizing deployment workflows. This position involves close collaboration with development and DevOps teams to design scalable infrastructure, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), streamline CI/CD pipelines, and lead projects from inception to completion while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

- CI/CD Pipelines: Design, build, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to automate software testing, integration, and delivery processes.

- Cloud & Infrastructure: Provision, manage, and optimize cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code tools to ensure scalable and reliable infrastructure.

- Monitoring & Reliability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain high availability, performance, and reliability of production systems.

- Environment Management: Configure and maintain development, staging, and production environments to support the software delivery lifecycle.

- Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex build, deployment, and infrastructure issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

- Containerization & Orchestration: Manage containerized applications and support scalable deployments using Docker and Kubernetes technologies.

- Security & Compliance: Enforce infrastructure security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), secrets management, access controls, and timely system patching.

- Technical Leadership: Lead end-to-end DevOps projects, make key technical decisions, improve engineering processes, and mentor junior engineers to foster team growth.

Required Qualifications

- 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related field.

- Strong practical experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent solutions.

- Experience configuring and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Bitbucket Pipelines.

- Expertise in containerization technologies including Docker (Dockerfiles, image management, Docker Compose) and practical experience with Kubernetes in production environments.

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks.

- Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git workflows involving branching, merging, and pull requests.

- Strong knowledge of Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting in production environments.
