We are seeking an experienced DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and secure a comprehensive cloud and Hyperledger Fabric infrastructure. This environment supports three organizations, a Node.js/Go REST API backend, and a React/Vue (TypeScript) frontend. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing blockchain networks and cloud-native applications, ensuring robust performance, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Hyperledger Fabric Infrastructure: Provision and manage a multi-organization network including Orderers, one Peer per organization for the MVP, and Channels. Configure Fabric CA and Membership Service Providers (MSPs), optimize CouchDB state databases, and oversee the lifecycle of Go/Node.js Chaincode.

- Cloud & Kubernetes Provisioning: Architect and maintain production environments on AWS or Azure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Orchestrate Fabric nodes, API gateways, and frontend containers with Docker and Kubernetes, leveraging Helm charts for deployment management.

- CI/CD Automation: Develop and maintain automated pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins. Pipelines should include unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, container registry management, and support blue-green or rolling deployment strategies.

- Security & GDPR Compliance: Implement end-to-end TLS/mTLS encryption, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), network firewalls, and Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs). Secure API gateways with JWT/OAuth2 and manage environment secrets through HashiCorp Vault or equivalent cloud-native vault solutions.

- Observability & Disaster Recovery: Deploy monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus/Grafana or CloudWatch/Azure Monitor alongside the ELK stack. Automate backups for ledgers and CouchDB, and develop disaster recovery runbooks and detailed topology documentation.

- Performance & SLAs: Ensure support for approximately 5,000 write transactions per day and 500–1,000 verification queries daily. Maintain P95 latency targets under 3 seconds for reads and 5 seconds for writes, implement caching layers, and guarantee 99% uptime during UK business hours (08:00–20:00).

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience deploying Hyperledger Fabric in production environments.

- Deep expertise in Hyperledger Fabric components including Peers, Orderers, Channels, Chaincode lifecycle, Fabric CA, MSPs, and CouchDB.

- Advanced skills with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, container orchestration using Kubernetes, Docker containerization, Linux server hardening, and Terraform/IaC.

- Strong proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana, logging with the ELK stack, TLS/SSL security protocols, and secrets management using Vault.

- Familiarity with Node.js and Go Fabric SDKs, healthcare or pharmaceutical industry workflows, and GDPR regulatory requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge blockchain infrastructure within a regulated environment, combining cloud-native technologies with enterprise-grade security and compliance standards. Candidates who thrive in dynamic, complex systems and have a passion for automation and security will find this position rewarding.
