Role Description The DevOps Specialist role at Applause Digital Pvt. Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in the Karachi Division. The DevOps Specialist will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable software releases, collaborating closely with software development and QA teams.

Responsibilities include managing containerized applications, overseeing Kubernetes clusters, and ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of production environments. The role involves administering Linux-based servers, automating deployment and configuration tasks, monitoring system performance, and addressing incidents to maintain stable operations. The DevOps Specialist will also contribute to process improvement, infrastructure documentation, and best practices for integration, testing, and release management.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Integration to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and streamline application delivery.
Candidates should possess skills in Continuous Integration and related CI/CD practices to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
Candidates should possess skills in Kubernetes and container orchestration to manage scalable, resilient application environments.
Candidates should possess skills in Linux system administration to configure, secure, and troubleshoot servers in production and staging environments.
Relevant experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is beneficial.
Strong scripting abilities (e.g., Bash, Python) and familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) are preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams are required.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is advantageous.
