EY’s Global Delivery Services (GDS) team supports the firm’s growth by delivering high-quality consulting, assurance, tax, strategy, transactions, and knowledge services from ten global locations. The Senior AI Engineer position seeks candidates with 4-8 years of experience to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems. This role demands strong technical skills, effective stakeholder engagement, and leadership abilities to develop scalable AI solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development of AI features, including problem framing, model creation, API design, deployment, and cloud scaling.
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems that meet business needs.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop REST APIs and integrate AI models into various services.
- Optimize application performance to handle high-volume workloads efficiently.
- Deploy and manage AI models and services in production environments using CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring tools.
- Serve as a strong individual contributor while leading stakeholder engagements.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster team growth and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or related fields.
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in software or AI engineering, including expertise in Generative AI.
- Proven experience delivering production-grade AI/ML solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Python and its AI/ML ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and fine-tuning.
- Solid foundation in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Transformer architectures.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and integrating AI models into services.
- Demonstrated ability to scale applications and optimize for high-volume workloads.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience deploying and operating models and services in production environments, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience building Agentic AI systems involving multi-agent orchestration, tool/function calling, and autonomous workflows.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.
- Knowledge of vector databases like Pinecone, FAISS, or Azure AI Search.
- Understanding of MLOps/LLMOps practices and tooling.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Exposure to Azure AI/OpenAI services, Azure ML, and serverless deployments.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
