Director of E-commerce Supply Chain

EAK Distribution is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead and scale the supply chain operations for HOME GROWN as it grows from approximately $20M to over $100M in revenue. This senior leadership role involves end-to-end management of raw material procurement, vendor relations, production coordination, inventory planning, demand forecasting, logistics, and multi-channel fulfillment across platforms such as Amazon FBA, TikTok Shop, Shopify, and Home Depot dropship. Reporting to the COO/Integrator, the Director will oversee the supply chain budget, lead ERP selection and implementation, and build the systems and team necessary to support over 600 SKUs within two years while maintaining a stockout rate below 1%. This position is remote, full-time, with work hours primarily from 8 AM to 12 PM EST, requiring flexibility to coordinate with partners in PST and China.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Inventory Strategy: Own demand planning for all channels and SKUs, scaling from 180 to 600+ within two years. Develop rolling forecasts incorporating sales velocity, seasonality, promotions, and channel expansions. Maintain stockout rates below 1% while minimizing excess inventory. Establish safety stock models, reorder points, and lead time buffers. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Brand Management, and Product Development to align forecasts with launches and promotions.

Procurement & Vendor Management: Consolidate procurement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods from domestic and international suppliers. Manage overseas vendor relationships including lead times, import logistics, customs, and quality assurance. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms while diversifying the vendor base to reduce single-source risks. Oversee purchase order workflows and budget alignment.

Production Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with Heirloom Organics’ operations team to translate demand forecasts into production schedules. Monitor production output, escalate issues, and collaborate on capacity planning as SKU volume grows, including equipment utilization.

Logistics & Fulfillment: Manage inbound freight and outbound fulfillment operations across Amazon FBA, TikTok Shop (MCF and FBT), Shopify, and Home Depot dropship. Optimize fulfillment strategies to reduce shipping costs and improve efficiency. Maintain Amazon FBA compliance, including IPI score management and stranded inventory resolution. Oversee 3PL relationships and evaluate cost-effectiveness of direct fulfillment.

ERP Selection & Implementation: Lead supply chain requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, and implementation of ERP systems. Manage data migration, workflow configuration, team training, and ensure real-time inventory visibility across all entities and channels.

Budget & Cost Management: Own the supply chain budget, tracking freight, raw materials, packaging, and logistics costs within a +/-5% variance. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service levels. Report supply chain economics and cost trends to senior leadership.

Team Leadership & Development: Manage logistics team members directly and evaluate additional staff for scalability. Conduct weekly one-on-ones, set clear KPIs, and foster a culture of operational discipline, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. Develop hiring plans to support growth.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management, including at least 3 years in a senior or director-level role.
- Proven track record managing complex supply chains with hundreds of SKUs and diverse raw material inputs, preferably in e-commerce or CPG.
- Experience scaling supply chain infrastructure from ~$20M to $50M+ in revenue.
- Expertise in end-to-end supply chain functions: procurement, international sourcing, inventory planning, fulfillment, and logistics.
- Hands-on experience selecting and implementing ERP or inventory management systems.
- Strong background coordinating with manufacturing or production operations.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

- Advanced demand planning and inventory optimization skills, including forecasting and safety stock modeling.
- Deep knowledge of Amazon FBA operations, including IPI score management and shipment planning.
- Proficiency in supply chain analytics and reporting, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong vendor negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Fluency with ERP, WMS, and IMS systems, including requirements definition and implementation leadership.
- Budget ownership and P&L management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership in building and scaling logistics teams, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills suited for remote and asynchronous work environments.
- Systems thinker with the ability to identify risks and build scalable infrastructure.
