This leadership role is based in Hyderabad with a hybrid work model and reports directly to the Chief Platform Architect. The successful candidate will drive the architectural vision and multi-year roadmap for Experian’s next-generation Consumer Permission Data Platform. This platform supports a wide range of products and services across multiple business lines and must be multi-tenant, highly scalable, secure, and resilient, fully aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities
Own the architecture vision and develop a strategic, multi-year roadmap for Experian’s shared platforms. Define and evolve core platform capabilities such as identity management, data services, APIs, eventing, observability, and shared OLTP services. Ensure the platform is scalable to support diverse business domains and customer segments, with a particular focus on building a robust permission data system. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to prioritize platform features and integration patterns that meet evolving business needs.

Align platform design with Experian’s Tiering Framework, including Recovery Time Objective (RTO), Recovery Point Objective (RPO), and High Availability (HA) standards. Promote reusable architectural patterns and enforce platform guardrails across product teams to maintain consistency and quality. Lead architectural governance activities, including design reviews, reference architecture development, and standards compliance.

Work in partnership with the Cloud Center of Excellence (COE), Security, and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure platform foundations comply with enterprise policies. Drive the adoption of cloud-native design patterns, primarily focusing on AWS with an Azure presence. Champion enhancements in developer experience by advancing self-service tooling and automation-driven workflows. Mentor architects and engineers to foster innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning.

Maintain hands-on involvement in programming, infrastructure provisioning, and DevOps pipeline management to ensure operational effectiveness. Continuously optimize platform performance, cost efficiency, and reliability to meet business objectives.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 12 years of experience designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-grade platforms with multi-product adoption. Strong expertise in cloud architecture, particularly AWS, with Azure experience considered an advantage. Deep knowledge of identity platforms such as Okta, OAuth2, and OIDC, as well as global API platforms, event-driven architectures, and cross-region high availability systems.

Solid understanding of data ecosystems including NoSQL, relational databases, vector databases, and streaming technologies. Experience in financial services, fraud prevention, or identity verification platforms is highly desirable. Familiarity with SAFe, Agile methodologies, and platform operating models is essential. Hands-on experience with programming, infrastructure provisioning, and managing DevOps pipelines is required.
