This position involves leading and managing district-level program operations to ensure high-quality implementation and timely achievement of targets. The role requires close supervision and support of district teams, including coordinators, field officers, and facilitators. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with government stakeholders such as district education officials, the School Education & Literacy Department, district administration, as well as community partners and organizations. This includes securing necessary approvals, coordinating joint activities, and representing the organization in district-level meetings and forums.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee district program operations, ensuring effective execution and target achievement.
- Supervise and support district teams comprising coordinators, field officers, and facilitators.
- Manage relationships with government and community stakeholders, securing approvals and coordinating collaborative efforts.
- Monitor field activities to ensure data accuracy and prepare regular progress reports.
- Support project monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities.
- Oversee district office administration, including logistics, travel, asset and inventory management, and record-keeping, adhering to organizational policies.
- Lead procurement processes at the district level by defining requirements, obtaining and comparing quotations, and ensuring transparent, compliant, and cost-effective purchasing in line with organizational and donor regulations.
- Identify, onboard, and manage vendors and service providers, monitoring contract compliance, quality, timelines, and payments.
- Drive fundraising and resource mobilization efforts for schools by engaging local philanthropists, businesses, CSR programs, and community contributors; prepare funding proposals and maintain donor relationships and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, gender equality, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), and inclusion policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in project implementation, coordination, or management, ideally within the education or development sector.
- Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams and engage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Experience working with government departments, preferably within the education sector in Sindh.
- Demonstrated expertise in administration, procurement, and vendor management, including familiarity with procurement procedures and documentation.
- Proven track record in fundraising or resource mobilization, especially for schools or education-related initiatives.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the district and surrounding areas.
Compensation:
The monthly salary range for this position is Rs80,000 to Rs100,000.
