Documentary Producer

Express 24/7 – English Programming is seeking a skilled and experienced Documentary Producer to join our team in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of experience in documentary or current affairs production, with a strong ability to research, craft compelling stories, and demonstrate editorial judgment. A deep understanding of politics, current affairs, and social issues is essential. This role offers the opportunity to create impactful documentaries that engage and inform audiences through powerful storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and produce documentaries and current affairs features from initial concept through to final edit.
- Create documentary concepts, treatments, scripts, and interview questions that effectively communicate the story.
- Coordinate and manage field shoots, including scheduling and overseeing interviews and production teams.
- Collaborate closely with post-production teams to ensure the final product meets editorial standards and storytelling goals.
- Maintain high editorial standards with strong storytelling and factual accuracy.
- Communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally, to ensure clarity and coherence in all produced content.

Required Qualifications
- 4 to 5 years of professional experience in documentary or current affairs production is mandatory.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough research and develop engaging narratives.
- Strong editorial judgment and storytelling skills.
- Experience managing production logistics, including field shoots and interviews.
- Excellent command of English, with strong writing and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of current affairs, politics, and social issues relevant to the region and beyond.
