Draftsman (Plumbing)

We are seeking a skilled Draftsman specializing in plumbing and public health to prepare detailed drawings based on engineers’ designs and markups. The role involves creating accurate layouts for water supply, drainage, sewerage, and fire-fighting systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering and site teams to ensure all drawings meet project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and revise plumbing and public health drawings using AutoCAD, including layouts, schematics, risers, and detailed views.
- Develop shop drawings and as-built drawings to support project execution and documentation.
- Coordinate plumbing layouts with architectural and structural drawings to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
- Maintain drawing registers and manage revision control to keep documentation up to date.
- Address and resolve drawing queries from engineers and site staff promptly to facilitate smooth project progress.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma in Plumbing, Public Health, Civil Technology (DAE), or an equivalent qualification.
- Between 2 to 5 years of experience in plumbing or public health drafting, preferably within a consultancy environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential for preparing and modifying technical drawings.
- Basic understanding of plumbing symbols, pipe sizing, and drawing standards to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of Revit MEP is considered an advantage and will be beneficial for handling more complex modeling tasks.

Location

This position is based in Karachi or at the designated project site, depending on project requirements.
