Draughtsman / Estimator

We are seeking a Junior Draughtsman / Estimator to join our team in Lahore, Pakistan. Reporting to the Senior Designer or Business Unit Manager, this full-time, on-site role involves supporting the design team by preparing 2D technical drawings, performing design calculations, and developing cost estimates for safety and construction systems. This position is well-suited for candidates with CAD training, strong mathematical skills, and an interest in advancing their expertise in construction design and estimating. The role requires fluency in English, both written and verbal, and offers a monthly compensation range of PKR 130,000 to 190,000. Candidates with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare 2D general arrangement drawings, fixing details, and revisions under supervision.
- Translate project scopes, drawings, and specifications into technically sound designs.
- Collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and international design teams to ensure accurate deliverables.
- Design safety and access systems in compliance with applicable standards and safety regulations.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, pricing breakdowns, and project calculations for review.
- Independently prepare project costings up to the equivalent of £25,000 in value.
- Maintain accurate project and customer data within company systems.
- Review and verify designs and safety plans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the smooth transition from quotation to project execution phases.
- Ensure all design documentation is properly archived and managed in central systems.
- Promptly escalate any deviations or safety concerns to the appropriate team lead.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Architecture, or Design.
- Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Strong mathematical, spatial, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Prior exposure to technical drawing or estimation is advantageous.
